Historic Woodlawn Offers an
Abundance of Natural Beauty

A local artist paints a Woodlawn vista

Historic Woodlawn Cemetery is a pastoral oasis in the midst of sprawling West Toledo. Constructed as part of the mid-nineteenth century rural cemetery movement, the cemetery is laid out in a typical "landscape lawn plan." Winding roads and undulating hills give one the feel of being in a beautiful park no matter what the season.

Woodlawn's lake is a perfect place for peaceful reflection. Elaborate and unique monuments and mausoleums stand as stunning tributes to the families who built them.

Woodlawn has received national recognition as an arboretum and has been home to more than one state champion tree. Area bird watchers enjoy the rich diversity of the bird population within this peaceful natural setting.
